【Russian Fairy】

Left, right, left—I glide across the freeze with heat in my heels, a passion in each staggered step, energy soaring with the next. A Russian Fairy in my elegance, dancing for the entertainment of watching cats bound to bite my ankles with prayer for a second performance. Playing with their prey, pushing me into the cold with challenges of endurance attached by strings—it’s only a matter of time before my charm wears away, and I’m found in the clutches of their jaw, drowned in the saliva accumulated during my final performance. The sight of my figure is enough to enchant them, the bounds and twists taken with knives strapped to my boots, fracturing my bones with each improper landing or step.

Eventually, I will break. Then, they will dine. Soon, they’ll forget.
